The Three Explosive Words from Prince Harry’s Astonishing Interview That Could Send Shockwaves Through the Palace and Escalate the Royal Security Row to Unprecedented Levels

Details about the mastermind behind the disaster interview have also emerged

HARRY’S prickly interview dealt a series of jabs to the palace, but three words will have left them particularly on edge.

The Duke said he believed certain people wanted to see him come to harm – and gave an ominous response when asked to name them.

He said: “I’m not going to share, at this point.”

Those last three words hung in the air – and will echo in palace ears for years to come.

They followed his wild accusation that certain people were “knowingly putting me and my family in harm’s way”, in the hope that the “sense of threat” would force him back into the fold.

These are serious allegations, and anyone publicly attached to them would be dragged into scandal – whether they are true or not.

By deliberately including “at this point”, Harry was threatening to level those accusations at specific figures in the future.

The claim that people associated with the palace actively wish him harm is provocative in the first place.

It is also difficult to believe in light of testimony from royal sources.

The Sun learned that the family had been hoping for reconciliation with the Duke before the bombshell interview aired – a far cry from wishing him harm.

Insiders revealed that the King was frustrated and upset by Harry’s outburst, which has deepened the rift.

If Harry were ever to smear specific royals – as he threatened to do with those three words – that rift would surely become irreparable.

While he declined to provide names in this case, he did make targeted accusations at other points.

He pointedly blamed the King for the collapse of their relationship, saying Charles refuses to speak to him but that the “whole thing could be resolved through him”.

Charles was seen for the first time on Sunday since being lambasted by his son, on his way to church.

BBC producers were shocked when the Duke rambled on for over half an hour, having expected just ten minutes with him.

Now, the architect behind the interview – which left everyone questioning who on earth thought it was a good idea – have been revealed.

Meredith Maines is a pal of Meghan Markle’s and was appointed chief of communications for the couple’s Archewell Foundation three months ago.

She brokered the interview – and as chief of comms was possibly consulted on what Harry would say,

The mother-of-two is a fierce defender of Meghan on social media, having also taken on a second role of chief of comms for the Duchess’ new lifestyle brand, As Ever.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Mrs Maines has been working for the couple for three months, having previously held positions at entertainment streaming company Hulu, and venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Her arrangements between Harry and the BBC led to a series of bombshell accusations being aired.

The prince chillingly suggested it would be the Firm’s fault if anything happened to him or wife Meghan Markle.

Despite claiming to want to repair relations, he blamed his relatives for his security being axed following Megxit.

He ominously questioned how long the King has left to live, but said he wants to “reconcile” with him – and said he has “forgiven” his family.

Meanwhile, royal sources revealed that the late Queen would have been “truly horrified” by Harry’s outburst.

They said the Duke has alienated himself even further from the family despite claiming to want reconciliation, according to the insiders.
