Fox News' Kat Timpf reveals gross comments she gets about pregnant belly as sick trolls beg for 'wildly personal' info - NewsBreak

Comedian, commentator, podcaster, and author Kat Timpf isn’t here to fit into a box. Whether she’s bringing her sharp humor to the stage or sharing her libertarian views on “Gutfeld!” via Fox News, Timpf has mastered the art of blending wit with unapologetic honesty. She fearlessly takes on heavy topics, proving that laughter can coexist with serious conversations.

Originally from Detroit, Timpf started her comedy career in Los Angeles after graduating magna cum laude from Hillsdale College. Throughout the years, she has balanced her comedy career with a significant presence in the political space, establishing herself as a unique voice in both fields.

Recently, Timpf announced her first pregnancy while also releasing her second book, I Used to Like You Until… (How Binary Thinking Divides Us), published by Simon & Schuster on September 10. This follows the success of her New York Times bestseller, You Can’t Joke About That: Why Everything Is Funny, Nothing Is Sacred, and We’re All in This Together.

For Timpf, humor is more than just entertainment—it’s a way to navigate life’s highs and lows. Her ability to mix sharp comedy with raw emotion has made her both relatable and admired. Now, she’s bringing her signature style to audiences nationwide with her I Used to Like You Tour, kicking off at the Scherr Forum Theatre in Thousand Oaks on September 14. Along with fresh material, she’s bringing plenty of laughs—and some cool merch for fans.

The Challenge of Defying Expectations

With Gutfeld! enjoying massive success, many still struggle to reconcile its humor-first approach with Fox News’ traditional image. But for Timpf, that’s the whole point.

“I was a huge Red Eye fan before I was ever on it,” Timpf recalls. “I didn’t tell Greg [Gutfeld] that until a year after I got hired. People assume everyone at Fox is the same, but it’s just not accurate. You can be friends with people you don’t agree with politically—it’s frustrating that people don’t get that. That’s part of why I wrote this book.”

In an era where picking sides is expected, Timpf finds it absurd that being independent often gets labeled as “fence-sitting.”

“I’m not sitting on a fence—I’m very firm in my views,” she says. “It would be so much easier to go all-in on one side and have a whole team backing me no matter what. But I’d rather be true to myself.”

Navigating Pregnancy in the Public Eye

Fox News' Kat Timpf reveals she was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly before giving birth to son

Timpf’s pregnancy announcement was met with an overwhelming response—some of it supportive, but plenty of it harsh.

“I have no idea what to expect, and I’ve gotten advice from everywhere. But what bothers me isn’t the advice—it’s the meanness,” she says. “I’m 35, so people call it a ‘geriatric pregnancy.’ For years, I got hate comments like, ‘Your eggs are drying up; you’ll regret this.’ Now that I’m pregnant, those same people are like, ‘Can you shut up about it already?’ You just can’t win with some people.”

Still, she refuses to let negativity dim her excitement.

“I hate when people say, ‘You’re not the first person to be pregnant.’ Yeah, I know! But it’s my first time. Life can be monotonous—this is something new and amazing for me, and I’m going to enjoy it.”

The Strange World of Social Media

Timpf understands that social media can be a toxic space, where making strangers happy is impossible.

“I’ve never seen someone share good news and thought, ‘Ugh, no thanks.’ Life is hard—if you’re happy about something, I’m happy for you,” she says. “But some people just exist to be negative.”

Despite the hate, she believes in standing up for herself. “I’m a sensitive person, and I write about that in my book. I’ve even DMed trolls saying, ‘That really hurt my feelings.’ Nine times out of ten, they apologize. The other one? They double down, and that sucks.”

Her book cover, featuring her naked and covered in hate mail, symbolizes vulnerability in the face of relentless judgment. “This book is for anyone who’s ever felt dismissed over a single aspect of themselves. We lose so much when we define people by just one viewpoint.”

From Struggling in L.A. to Selling Out Shows

Reflecting on her early days in Los Angeles, Timpf remembers the struggle.

“I waited tables at Boston Market, lived in a terrible apartment, and when I couldn’t afford it, I moved in with a bartender I was kind of seeing,” she laughs. “I started doing stand-up to cope. It gave me power over things making me feel powerless.”

Years later, she’s selling out shows, including an added performance in Thousand Oaks after the first one sold out.

“I’m so grateful. L.A. shaped me, and opening this tour here feels right. Every time I land at LAX, I get emotional. I hope I never stop feeling this way.”

As for the future, Timpf remains grounded in what makes her who she is: comedy, honesty, and a refusal to be boxed in.

“I even have ‘Are You Mad at Me?’ merch,” she jokes. “I’m insufferable, but at least I’m self-aware!”
