Inside Vicky Pattison and Ercan’s marriage as they admit to sleeping in separate beds

Vicky Pattison and her husband, Ercan Ramadan, were so loved up they had two weddings last year. The reality stars, who had been dating since January 2019, got hitched officially in the UK, before jetting off to a lavish ceremony in Italy, surrounded by their famous family and friends.

However, less than a year after tying the knot, the couple have admitted to sleeping in separate beds as Vicky, 37, concedes that the first six months of her marriage have been an “alien experience”. So, as the pair get closer to their one year anniversary as Mr and Mrs, here’s a look inside their modern marriage…

Vicky admits marriage is an ‘alien experience’

Geordie Shore star, Vicky, is known for being open with her fans about her private life and hasn’t shied away from lifting the lid on her married life with Ercan, 31.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour, the reality star admitted the first six months after getting hitched had been “difficult”, saying: “I don’t think it’s how anyone anticipates, their first six months of marriage, you know, it’s a very alien experience.

“I mean it has been difficult, I have been frustrated, I have been upset and I have been overwhelmed quite a lot.”

Vicky also had to face a barrage of backlash after making a deepfake sex tape of herself while working on a documentary looking at the impact of image-based sexual abuse.

However, the stunt didn’t go down well with several viewers as many accused the influencer of orchestrating a ‘publicity stunt’.

Admitting she hadn’t been a “joy to live with” during the ordeal, Vicky said: “So even without thinking about, the deepfake itself, I haven’t been a joy to live with quite frankly and I do feel for my husband, but he’s very supportive.”

Sleeping separately

Despite being married for less than a year, Vicky has admitted that she and her husband are sleeping separately. While most newlyweds can’t keep their hands off each, the reality star revealed the showbiz couple are spending their nights apart.

Explaining that their dogs are getting in the way of any potential nookie between the pair, she told OK! magazine: “We’re just desperate to sleep in the same bed together. I sleep with the dogs and he sleeps in the spare room!”

Despite sleeping separately, Vicky did praise her husband for bringing out the best in her, gushing: “We love each other for our differences. He’s making me more patient, calm and thoughtful. I like to think I’m making him more ambitious and proactive.”

Not trying for kids just yet

Vicky has spoken candidly about her fertility journey, revealing she had frozen her eggs before the couple decide to start IVF. Now that she’s married, the Geordie star admitted that many of her friends thought she would be trying for children asap.

However, Vicky said this is not the case. Explaining that the couple want to enjoy being married for at least a year before trying for a family – as well as squeezing in a lavish honeymoon to the Caribbean, she said “Everyone thought we’d try for kids quite quickly – so did we! But we’re going to enjoy being married, for at least a year.
