Sabalenka won quickly

In the first semifinal of the women’s singles, Sabalenka showed her superiority over Jasmine Paolini. The number one seed of the tournament got the first break in game 4 and ended the first set 6-2 after getting the second break. A similar scenario played out in the second set, with Sabalenka winning 2-0 in just over an hour.

Sabalenka

This victory means Sabalenka has not lost more than 8 games to any opponent since the beginning of the tournament, and although Paolini tried very hard and had 4 break points, Sabalenka saved all 4 points while she herself successfully took advantage of 4/5 break opportunities. Sabalenka is in the final of Miami Open and this will be her 4th final since the beginning of the year.

I’m going to tell you about Fils

The quarter-final match between Arthur Fils and Jakub Mensik was not as exciting as many people imagined. In the first set, Mensik broke first but Fils regained the victory and the two players needed a tie-break. The Czech player was more courageous and won 7-5 in the “shootout”. In the second set, Fils lost 3 break points in a row and quickly lost 1-6, thereby losing 0-2 overall.

Mensik, 19, has reached his first Masters 1000 semi-final, and will be guaranteed a top 40 ranking after this tournament. Better things are ahead for the Czech, if he beats Taylor Fritz or Matteo Berrettini in the semi-finals.
